DescriptionDistribute and explain EHS materials and resources to educate the workforce and raise awareness of safety procedures and best practices.
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to manufacturing facilities on injury management, incident reporting and investigations, Health and Safety Standards, Swisher Policies and Procedures, and safe work practices.
Establish and maintain the health and safety of the Swisher workforce and facilities by monitoring and evaluating health and safety conditions; assuring compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and governmental standards; and maintenance of the Safety Programs.
Coordinate with departmental management to review the compliance needs/requirements based on departments tasks/operations.
Responsible for monitoring the activities in departments to ensure compliance with best practices are being followed.
Conduct routine inspections and audits of the organization's procedures, facilities, and equipment to ensure regulatory compliance, proactively identify unsafe conditions, and implement safeguards and solutions, as directed by the Safety and Health Manager.
Review and update Safety and Environmental Policies and procedures.
Support the implementation of established safety programs, policies, and procedures to promote occupational safety and prevent workplace accidents.
Schedule, coordinate, and assist with compliance training of employees.
Collaborate with Security Department on Business Continuity, Crisis Management Planning, and Annual Site Risk Assessments.
Educate, motivate, and train line supervision and production personnel in good housekeeping practices, safe work procedures, PPE, Environmental compliance, etc.
Identify and correct potential human and environmental hazards by inspecting facilities, machinery, and safety equipment.
Tracking and monitoring all environmental metrics that pertain to the environmental permits.
Attend regulatory regulation compliance update training as needed.
