Parking Attendant – Part Time

Under general supervision of the Assistant City Manager, may issue citations for parking violations and collects monies for daily/monthly parking, shoveling snow, cutting grass, and garage upkeep.

• Open and/or close the garage; collect money and tickets; make change if needed.
• Sell monthly tags using debit/credit card machine.
• Complete paperwork for daily tickets and monthly parkers.
• Put holds on vehicles at the end of shift.
• Walk through garage and stairwells several times a day.
• Work events in different weather conditions.

• Knowledge of basic arithmetic and bookkeeping skills.
• Skill in communication and customer service.
• Skill in independent judgment and decision making.

• Mental work includes enforcement of parking structures and lots with independent decision making on citations.
• Physical requirements:
  
  ability to walk up to 6‑7 hours per day; stand, kneel or squat for extended periods; write legibly.

Work will involve being in a ticket booth; may involve walking up to 6‑7 hours per day in inclement weather; may have to work weekends.

• Position is Part Time, $12.00 per hour.
• Location:
  
  10th Street Garage and/or Intermodal Garage.
• High School Diploma.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
