StoreManager In Training (SMIT) Role
SMIT is a development focused role designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position through a 16‑week self‑paced, collaborative training program that includes virtual and hands‑on learning experiences.
Program Support TeamYour development will be supported by your District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and your Store Manager coach.
Key Responsibilities and Skills- Communicate well verbally and in writing to support and lead your team.
- Perform customer care duties to provide high levels of service.
- Execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth.
- Manage the store inventory and assets to maintain profitability.
- Actively engage with your leader in key learning experiences during the program.
- Support your store as a management team member and lead in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies.
- Engage colleagues in supporting the company’s purpose of "helping people on their path to better health."
- Be willing to accept promotion roles with the market you work in.
- Accept promotion to Store Manager role at any location in the designated market.
- Transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market.
- Work a schedule that may vary based on business needs.
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- College degree preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a college degree.
- Retail management experience or experience as a CVS Supervisor.
Pay range: $18.50 - $23.88 per hour (typical full‑time rate). The actual base salary will depend on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
