The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Associate, Growth Merchant Lead (Emerging Markets) for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Charleston, WV
. Details for the position are as follows:
Title: Associate, Growth Merchant Lead (Emerging Markets)
Location: Charleston, WV (Candidates must reside within 40 minutes of the location)
Pay: $29.00/hr + Uncapped Commission Duration: 1-Year Contract Start Date: 07/07.
- Drive new restaurant partnership acquisition across assigned emerging and underserved markets.
- Conduct face‑to‑face sales meetings with restaurant owners to present partnership opportunities and secure new business.
- Negotiate revenue‑sharing agreements and close transactional sales opportunities.
- Travel extensively throughout assigned territories to expand market penetration and restaurant participation.
- Execute field‑based sales activities to increase market coverage and grow the merchant network.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to identify target markets and execute regional growth initiatives.
- Utilize sales tools and market intelligence to support prospecting, presentations, and deal execution.
- 2.5+ years of closing sales experience or business development experience.
- Field sales and territory expansion experience.
- Restaurant, hospitality, food service, or SMB sales experience.
- Revenue‑share agreement negotiation.
- New business acquisition and merchant partnership development.
- Face‑to‑face consultative selling.
- Ability to travel extensively (50%+ of the time), including overnight travel.
- Experience managing short sales cycles and high‑volume transactional sales.
- Experience selling to restaurants, food service operators, or hospitality businesses.
- SMB (Small and Medium Business) sales experience.
- Emerging market or territory expansion experience.
- Merchant services, local business partnerships, or marketplace sales experience.
- Experience building and scaling new geographic markets.
- Proven success exceeding sales and commission targets.
