Job Overview
Barbour County Schools invites applications for the position of Itinerant General Maintenance/Electrician I/Plumber I. This is a 240‑day contract for the 2026/2027 school year.
Position Details- Position Title: Itinerant General Maintenance/Electrician I/Plumber I
- Schedule: 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- Employment Term: 240‑day contract for the 2026/2027 school year
- Location: Barbour Board Office
- Closing Date: 05/22/2026
- Immediate Supervisor: Principal

- Salary: Salary based on experience and education level per CBOE schedule plus competitive benefits ~35% of direct compensation
- High School Diploma/GED
- Pass or successful passage of the Electrician competency test
- Pass or successful passage of the General Maintenance competency test
- Plumber in training, West Virginia Division of Labor license
- Electrician’s license (preferred)
- Ability to interpret and transmit written communication
- Good health
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
