    Maintenance and in accordance with WV State Code§18A-2-12, WV State Board Policy 5314, and HCBOE Evaluation Policy for Service Personnel
  • Job Summary: Pursuant to WV Code §18A-4-8: “General maintenance” means a person employed as a helper to skilled maintenance employees, and to perform minor repairs to equipment and buildings of a county school system; “Carpenter I” means a person classified as a carpenter's helper; “Carpenter II” means a person classified as a journeyman carpenter
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent, pursuant to WV Code§18A-2-5;
  • Criminal background check conducted pursuant to WV Code§18-5-15c;
  • Meet the definition of "Qualifications" in WV Code§18A-4-8b;
  • Demonstrate competency pursuant to WV Code§18A-4-8e as required;
  • Possess experience and/or training in a maintenance related field;
  • Possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license; able to do heavy, extensive lifting and manual labor;
  • Hold, or be able to obtain, licensures required by state for federal agencies in the performance of the position;
  • Have up-to-date first aid and CPR training;
