Mechanic-C

Mechanic C - Repairs and maintains diesel and gasoline industrial and submersible pumps. Positively represents the Company and maintains good relations with customers.

• Perform basic inspections while learning RFR SOPs.
• Perform engine services such as oil changes and filter changes, including fuel filters.
• Properly grease bearings in pump and wheel assemblies.
• Safely operate portable cordless, electric, and pneumatic tools.
• Safely operate shop stationary power tools.
• Use pipe fittings and flanges to fit pumps for customers.
• Assemble and secure pipes, fittings, and related equipment according to specifications.
• Receive, inspect, and stock necessary products such as oil filters, air filters, pumps, hoses, and tools.
• Read, comprehend, and apply information from parts diagrams, owner’s, and instruction manuals.
• Inspect, examine, and test pumps using appropriate specifications.
• Complete paperwork and electronic documents as required by management.
• Participate in on‑call rotation as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Use calculator, cellular telephone, and tape measure/ruler.
• Read a map, plan routes, and calculate distances.
• Be motivated, a team player, safety‑oriented, and customer‑service oriented.

The employee must have manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceive attributes of objects and materials.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee will be exposed to heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive/technical nature.

• High School diploma, GED or better.
• Driver’s license.
• 1–2 years of mechanic experience.
• 1–2 years of trade school or equivalent training maintaining industrial, mud, vacuum, or submersible pumps.
