Substitute Bus Operator

Monroe County Board of Education

• Supervision of all passengers
• Make daily run reports and report any deviations to proper authorities
• Comply with WV School Transportation Regulations and Monroe County School Transportation Policy
• Report any accident, incident, breakdown, disciplinary problem or other issue to proper authority promptly (including filling out disciplinary forms provided by the board)
• Maintain positive work habits
• Perform duties efficiently and productively
• Maintain and/or upgrade skills
• Perform any and all other job‑related duties as assigned by the Transportation Director and/or the Superintendent

• Must hold bus operator licensure, including a valid First Aid Card, CPR Card, and a B Part of the Commercial Driver’s License
• High School graduate or GED equivalent
• Must be 21 years of age
• Physically fit, according to WV School Transportation Regulations
• Good driving record with WV Dept. of Safety and all qualifications set forth in WV School Transportation Regulations

School Year

$133.45 Daily Rate of Pay. Salary based on experience and education level per Monroe County BOE salary schedule plus a competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation.
