James Monroe High School, Monroe County, West Virginia

Effective 2026–2027 School Year

• Supervise all passengers.
• Make the assigned run daily reporting any deviation to proper authorities.
• Comply with WV School Transportation Regulations and Monroe County School Transportation Policy.
• Report any accident, incident, breakdowns or disciplinary problems promptly; complete disciplinary forms provided by board.
• Maintain positive work habits.
• Perform duties efficiently and productively.
• Maintain and/or upgrade skills.

• Must hold bus operator licensure including a valid First Aid Card, CPR Card, and qualify for the B Part of the Commercial Driver's License.
• Pass required graduate or GED equivalent.
• Physically fit per WV School Transportation Regulations.
• Satisfactory driving record with WV Dept. of Safety and all qualifications set forth in WV School Transportation Regulations.
• Must be 21 years of age with three years of driving experience.

Base Salary of $26,690; salary based on experience and education per Monroe County BOE schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximate 35% of direct compensation.
