Residential CDL B Drivers

Position Summary

A Driver- CDL (B) is responsible for safely operating a collection truck and providing prompt, courteous and complete waste removal services for customers. The driver ensures the vehicle complies with company safety standards, follows all regulations, and completes daily vehicle condition reports.

• Perform pre‑ and post‑operation inspection of the vehicle according to company policy.
• Safely operate the truck along designated routes to disposal sites.
• Control the truck to lift, load refuse, operate the compactor and dispose of collected material.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and coworkers.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag them per procedures.
• Continuously monitor waste for unacceptable material.
• Clean up accidental spills and maintain safety standards.
• Maintain vehicle readiness, clean waste from the truck, and minimize downtime.
• Complete required reports, VCRs and productivity sheets.
• Meet departmental productivity standards and follow safety policies.
• Participate in the company’s ReSOP program.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
• Maintain customer service, time‑management, follow‑through and pride in work.

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.
