Resort Municipality Utilities Labourer

Support the Utilities department at the Resort Municipality of Whistler as a Utilities Labourer
1. Engage in important maintenance and operation tasks for water and wastewater systems in a stunning location.

Reporting to the Wastewater Chief Operator, this position requires two years of construction or maintenance experience. As a Utilities Labourer, you will be involved in repairing systems and carrying out important maintenance duties while fostering a commitment to environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and operate water and wastewater infrastructure

• Drive to various job sites to transport necessary tools

• Clear brush at utility installations

• Participate in traffic safety flagging

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education and two years of relevant labor experience

• Familiarity with utility maintenance tools and techniques

• Basic skills in MS Office applications

• Sufficient strength for physical activities outdoors

• A valid class 5 BC driver’s license with a clean record
