The RMOW is seeking a qualified Trades I Mechanic to support garage operations. You'll perform semi-skilled mechanical work on automotive and heavy-duty equipment while assisting senior staff with complex tasks.
Your role will ensure compliance with established safety standards and enhance the thriving community environment in Whistler.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct mechanical work below journeyman level on various vehicles
• Assist senior staff with advanced repairs and maintenance
• Maintain detailed work records for garage operations
• Order parts and manage shop billing efficiently
• Support a safe work environment in various conditions
Requirements:
• Grade 12 diploma with technical course supplements
• Significant experience in heavy duty mechanical work
• Knowledge of safety practices and equipment maintenance
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 and related work order programs
• Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license;
Class 1 or 3 preferred
