Salary RangeLevel III, Step 2 per Para Educator Agreement: $22.91 (Current hourly para rate of pay if employed with ISD 624.)

Weare looking for paraprofessionals to support our students with special needs who will be attending the Extended Day and FLEX summer programs. Our programs are open from 7:00am to 5:30pm weekdays from June through August. This position has a variety of schedules available, including schedules up to 40 hours a week.
Position SummaryThe Extended Day and FLEX programs provide enrichment opportunities for youth with diverse interests, talents, and perspectives. This position performs intermediate human support work by supporting students with special needs individually and in small or larger groups. Responsibilities also include encouraging and modeling appropriate student conduct, speech, attire, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Out of School Time Site Supervisor.
Educationand /or Experience
High school diploma or GED and moderate experience working with children. Associates/Technical degree preferred.
Special Requirements- Must hold AA/AS degree, completed 60 semester credits, approved competency portfolio or pass MN Parapro test
- Valid driver's license
- Certified in First Aid/CPR upon hire
- Training in Blood Borne Pathogens upon hire
- Training in Crisis Prevention Intervention upon hire
- Department of Human Services training upon hire
