Playground/Lunchroom Assistant

Start Date: ASAP

Salary Range: Per Clerical Agreement Level I

Closing Date: 03/02/2026 Candidates will be reviewed upon submission with selection starting no sooner than five days following the posting. The position will remain open until a suitable candidate has been found.

Work Week: Monday-Friday 2.5 hours per day

Student Level: Elementary School (PreK-5th)

Matoska International is looking for an energetic, student-centered individual to join our team as a Playground Supervisor. If you enjoy working with children and helping create a safe, positive school environment, we would love to meet you!

In this role, you will support students in grades PreK–5 during lunch and recess, helping ensure that these important parts of the school day are safe, structured, and fun. You'll build positive relationships with students, model respectful behavior, and help maintain a calm and welcoming atmosphere.

• Supervise students during lunch and/or recess
• Promote safe, inclusive, and respectful play
• Assist students with needs as they arise
• Support smooth transitions between lunch, recess, and classroom time
• Perform related duties as assigned

• A positive, patient, and dependable team player
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain a calm, organized environment
• A genuine enjoyment of working with elementary‑aged children

High school diploma or GED and minimal experience working with children, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
