Position Summary
Seeking teachers interested in utilizing new, creative, and innovative ways to support student achievement through the development of a summer camp learning model. The program will focus on whole student growth and success, building strong relationships with students and their families, and supporting social‑emotional learning. Opportunity for curriculum development and greater influence in teaching content. Pre‑summer training, prep time, and meetings are paid time;
professional development and program design will be created in partnership with Student Support Services and Teaching & Learning.
Teachers will perform a broad range of teaching services, assisting students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed for future learning. They will deliver small group and individualized instruction according to curriculum and plan guidelines, maintain student records related to achievement and testing, and monitor student behavior. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Principal, with occasional oversight of paraprofessional or volunteer staff.

- Maintain student records related to student achievement, including testing.
- Monitor student behavior.
- Assist in curriculum development and program design.
- Attend pre‑summer professional development, prep time, and meetings (paid time).
- Provide instruction throughout the program period (Mon‑Thurs, 7:15 am‑1:30 pm).
Prep/PD week of June 23rd or 30th, 2026. Programming runs from July 6th to July 30th, 2026. Workdays:
Monday through Thursday, 7:15 am‑1:30 pm. 30 minutes of prep time each day will be scheduled within the daily hours.
District Center / District Wide, White Bear Lake, MN. Camp Summer Elementary Sites:
North Star, Otter, Lakeaires, Central.
Salary: $40 per hour.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS); middle‑school experience preferred.
- MN teaching license required.
