Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled drafting professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, updating, and revising a wide range of technical drawings and contract documents using both CAD software and manual drafting methods. Working closely with project engineering, architectural, and technical services staff, you will translate complex customer requirements and supplier specifications into precise 2D and 3D models and construction-ready documentation.

This position plays a critical role in supporting the full project lifecycle, from initial design through final construction deliverables.

• Create, update, and revise sketches, working drawings, and contract documents using CAD software or manual drafting techniques
• Develop accurate 2D and 3D models to meet customer and project requirements
• Read and interpret detailed customer requirements, data sheets, and supplier specifications
• Prepare supporting documentation for design drawings, including bills of material and project schedules
• Assist engineering personnel with formal drawing transmittals and resolution of construction issues
• Complete assignments using information provided by project engineering, architectural, or technical services staff under supervisor direction
• Ensure all drawings and documents comply with applicable drafting standards and engineering concepts

• Proficiency in Computer Assisted Design (CAD) software for 2D and 3D modeling
• Strong familiarity with drafting techniques, standards, and best practices
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
• Working knowledge of engineering concepts and terminology
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all deliverables
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional engineering teams
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize tasks under supervisor direction

• Prior experience in a drafting, design, or engineering support role preferred
• Hands-on experience creating and revising technical drawings and contract documents
• Experience preparing bills of material, schedules, and formal drawing transmittals is a plus

• Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred
• Formal training or coursework in CAD applications and drafting principles
