Electrical Designer

Tru North Automation is looking to continue growth in its engineering department. The ideal candidate has experience with AutoCAD electrical, has hands-on electrical wiring experience, and is self motivated and driven to succeed. You will be performing electrical design, drafting electrical prints for the controls team, and working hands-on with assembly and power-up for automated manufacturing equipment. You are joining a driven and ambitious team with decades of experience in delivering sophisticated automation equipment to the life sciences and med device industry.

• Have strong attention to detail and ability to efficiently translate design specifications to the electrical requirements for a project
• Desire to be a part of a growing company and learn all aspects necessary to successfully complete sophisticated automation projects
• Seek out leadership roles within teams, assignments, and other opportunities within the Company

• Associate's degree in robotics, mechatronics, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field with minimum GPA of 3.0
• Practical experience within an internship, co-op, or team related to control systems
• Hold effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Competent in MS Office: excel, word, power point
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with AutoCAD electrical or similar software, electrical design, and/or robotics is a plus
• US citizen or authorization to work permanently for any Employer in the United States
