White Bear Lake-Machine Process Technician

Job Summary

Responsible for providing process-related support for the molding department in order to achieve robust manufacturing processes, which may include injection molding, thermoforming, extrusion, paint, or CNC workstations. Works to improve manufacturing processes in order to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability, and maximize profitability.

• Ensure jobs are set up to run quality parts
• Review Plant Intelligence Center monitors to determine mold change priorities and monitor quality and efficiency
• Set up and start machines following the set-up, the production-related sheets/program for each process ensuring product meets customer standards
• Set up secondary equipment and fixtures
• Investigate and determine machine adjustments needed to provide quality parts, correct high scrap rate, improve efficiency or address other production related issues
• Provide finished product as needed for obtaining first and tenth part approval
• Complete documentation on all work performed including creation/modification of process set up sheets
• Assist with training of operators regarding operation of machine setup and secondary equipment
• Perform minor machine repairs or maintenance and communicate machine issues to supervisor/maintenance team
• Tag molds for the tooling enhancement work or repairs
• Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Observe all established safety rules and regulations including Lock Out Tag Out requirements maintaining work area in a neat and orderly condition

Pay Range: 24.57 - 30.03
