Tapping Tool Assembly
- Specials Position Summary

The Tapping Tool Assembly position is responsible for assembling, inspecting, and testing tapping tools and related components to meet quality and customer specifications. This role works from drawings, work instructions, and specifications to accurately assemble components and ensure finished tools meet Wilson Tool quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Assemble tapping tools and related components according to drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Inspect components and completed assemblies for accuracy, quality, and proper fit.
  • Use precision measuring tools and equipment to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Perform basic machine or equipment operations as needed to support assembly and finishing processes.
  • Identify quality issues or assembly concerns and communicate them to the appropriate team members.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records.
  • Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts within the Specials area.
Qualifications
  • Manufacturing, mechanical assembly, machining, or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings and work instructions.
  • Comfortable using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
  • Ability to meet production requirements while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and work for extended periods.
  • Ability to frequently use hands and fingers for detailed assembly work.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and tools as required for the position.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment within the Specials area
, with exposure to typical manufacturing equipment, materials, noise, and related conditions. Employees are expected to follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Wage: $29.58-$39.33 DOQ
