We are seeking a high-level Commercial Garage Door Technician. You will be our point person for our commercial and industrial door installation, service, and preventative maintenance (PM).
Key Responsibilities- Commercial Installation: Install commercial and industrial door systems, including rolling steel, sectional, high-lift, and specialty doors. Assemble tracks, torsion systems, springs, safety systems, and operators.
- Service & Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on high-cycle doors, limit switches, and control boards.
- Preventative Maintenance: Execute scheduled PM contracts for warehouses, logistics hubs, and commercial facilities to eliminate their downtime.
- Electrical Systems: Install, wire, and program commercial operators and controls (Lift Master, Raynor, etc.).
- Professionalism: Communicate clearly with facility managers and our dispatch team regarding findings and repair solutions. Accurately document work performed and turn in clean, organized paperwork to our dispatch team.
- 2+ years of hands-on commercial garage door or industrial door experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently on active jobsites.
- Strong communication skills with other staff and customers.
- Ability to safely lift heavy materials and work on tall ladders/scissor lifts.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience with rolling steel, fire-rated, dock equipment, or high-speed systems.
- IDA, DASMA, or manufacturer certifications.
- $30 - $35/hour Base Pay
