Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as a Permanent Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer in the Manufacturing industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest level of quality in our supply chain. As a Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing supplier quality issues, and ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
Experienceand Salary
Experience: Senior Level
Salary: $90,000 - $115,000 per year
Responsibilities- Lead supplier quality system audits and manage corrective actions to ensure resolution and compliance.
- Use problem-solving methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis to address supplier quality issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain control plans for supplier material and process changes.
- Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities to ensure suppliers are prepared for product launches.
- Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Manage the Supplier Performance Management system, including supplier scorecards, performance reviews, and improvement plans.
- Ensure all supplier documentation is in compliance with company and industry standards, including IATF requirements.
- Facilitate the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for new parts and changes to existing parts.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure supplier quality issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
- Train and mentor junior team members in supplier quality management best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supplier quality engineering within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies, including Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, Control Plans, APQP, and PPAP.
- Experience with IATF standards and automotive quality systems.
- Proven track record in driving supplier quality improvement and managing supplier audits.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to lead corrective action initiatives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in document control and managing supplier documentation.
- Certification such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP) is a plus.
