Sr. Accountant/Assistant Controller
Our client, a leading food manufacturer is looking for a talented Sr. Accountant/Assistant Controller to take ownership of the monthly financial closing process for one or more operating subsidiaries. This position reports to a controller.
Responsibilities:- Post journal entries.
- Maintain fixed asset reports.
- Perform reconciliations.
- Maintain and apply Company internal controls.
- Coordinate weekly financial reports and operating plan tracking summary.
- Follow-up with managers and staff on issues and cost savings.
- Provide support for any financial audits.
- Provide financial statements and expenses by the agreed closing dates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or a current accounting certification (i.e., CPA, CMA).
- Seven years accounting experience.
- 3 years' work experience with a manufacturing company
- Highly organized individual.
- Reliable in meeting deadlines and able to prioritize tasks.
- Great communication skills.
- Advanced computer skills. ERP accounting systems (ie. SAP, Oracle), Excel pivot tables.
- Sound knowledge of GAAP principles and applications. Some basic level knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting
