Tax Staff - Public

Description

To all public tax accountants. We have several clients in Westchester and Southern CT looking to add to staff now that busy season is over.

Responsibilities:

+ Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S-corporations, and C-corporations

+ Assist with tax planning and advisory services to minimize client liabilities and ensure compliance

+ Review financial records, general ledgers, and trial balances to ensure accuracy for tax reporting

+ Conduct research on complex tax issues and document findings and recommendations

+ Coordinate with clients to gather necessary documentation and clarify financial information

+ Support senior staff and managers on tax engagements, including multi-entity and multi-state filings

+ Identify tax-saving opportunities and process improvements

+ Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations

Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (CPA or CPA-track preferred)

+ 1-5+ years of public accounting tax experience

+ Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations

+

Experience with tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, Pro System fx, or similar)

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP or accounting systems is a plus

+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
