LHH is partnering with a client in Westchester for TEMPORARY STAT accountant with insurance and reinsurance industry experience. This is a hybrid role, 3/2.

• Prepare and file annual and quarterly financial statements under Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP) or local jurisdiction guidelines.
• Reconcile US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) records with statutory books and maintain balance sheet reconciliations
• Performing risk management, and analyzing and reconciling reinsurance
• Ensuring accounts comply with contracts, and maintaining compliance with internal and state requirements
• Compile supplementary filings, evaluate financial operations, and calculate Risk-Based Capital (RBC) where applicable.
• Communicating issues and trends to management, and engaging with clients and internal business partners

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, and relevant experience.
• Insurance industry experience.
• Attention to detail
• Ability to adapt to change
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in Excel
• Knowledge of access database or SQL
• Experience with SAP General Ledger System

Pay Details: $45.00 to $55.00 per hour
