Mailroom Services Assistant
Provide support services to the mailroom and maintenance departments of the company headquarters.
Job Functions and Responsibilities- Provide support to the mailroom support services lead
- Receive, sort and distribute internal and external mail
- Manage outbound mail and packages requests
- Operate various pieces of mailroom equipment or machines
- Provide backup and cross-functional work for members of the mailroom team
- Provide messenger services by making hand deliveries and pick-ups for executives or external parties, including post office, bank deposits and bill deliveries
- Provide support to the building maintenance supervisor
- Assist with management of stored materials including furniture
- Support internal relocation of staff members
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of event furniture and equipment
- Support emergent work
- Ability to take direction and collaborate with other team members
- Ability to deliver a high level of customer service within desired schedules
- Good communication skills
- General knowledge of mailroom operations and equipment/machines
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and ability to learn the use of new software
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Two years of experience in support services - mailroom or maintenance
- Experience with customer service
- Physical requirements - ability to lift 30 lbs.
