About This InternshipArch’s internship program offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience in the insurance industry. It provides challenging learning experiences that serve as a foundation for interns to explore their career choices and to develop professional skills. Working alongside some of the most talented members of the specialty insurance industry, interns will gain relevant expertise in various aspects of the field, participate in learning activities and receive ongoing feedback.
AboutThis Role
Support environmental, social and governance initiatives to enhance sustainability outcomes. Conduct research and benchmarking to determine sustainability best practices and emerging trends. Support sustainability data analysis and greenhouse gas measurement. Stay up to date on sustainability industry standards and regulations related to sustainability reporting. Assist with preparation of materials, resources, or communications related to sustainability initiatives to increase education, documentation, and engagement.
Support Arch's Blue Goes Green sustainability committee by employee-facing initiatives, such as “Plastic Free July.” Assist with sustainability-related projects as assigned.
- Actively completing bachelor’s or graduate degree in Sustainability Management, Business, Economics, Environmental Science or Policy, Corporate Social Responsibility, or related program.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher.
- College level - current Junior, Senior, or graduate student, with graduation dates ranging from December 2027 – May 2028.
- Interest in the insurance and/or financial services industries.
- Microsoft Office, including Excel, experience strongly preferred.
- Interest in sustainability and social purpose/corporate citizenship.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Comfortable conducting research, analyzing data and sharing findings in a way that’s organized and easy to understand.
- Experience planning/organizing (volunteer) events a plus.
- Entrepreneurial spirit along with the desire to be a continuous learner.
The program dates are June 2, 2027 - August 6, 2027. This position is classified as a hybrid position. You will work 2 days onsite and 3 days from home. This position is located in White Plains, NY. Relocation and housing assistance is not provided for this role.

PayFor individuals assigned to or hired to work in White Plains, NY, the hourly rate is $26-28 as of the time of posting. The breadth in the range exists to accommodate students in specialized programs such as actuarial candidates and graduate students. Any actual rate offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, along with the education & qualifications of the candidate.
The above range may be modified in the future.
