Construction Project Manager – Ground-Up & Interior Renovation Projects
Our client, a highly respected and growing construction management/general contracting firm, is seeking experienced Construction Project Managers to oversee a diverse portfolio of commercial construction projects throughout Westchester County and the NYC 5 Boroughs.
This role is ideal for professionals with strong experience managing ground-up construction and/or interior renovation projects across sectors such as commercial office, retail, mixed-use, hospitality, and corporate interiors. The company offers long-term growth, a collaborative team environment, and a steady pipeline of active projects throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities- Manage projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Oversee all aspects of scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, procurement, and project execution
- Lead day-to-day communication with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, and field teams
- Review and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts, and project documentation
- Coordinate with Superintendents to ensure project schedules, safety standards, and quality expectations are maintained
- Track project costs and maintain budget control throughout all phases
- Conduct regular project meetings and provide detailed progress updates to stakeholders
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards
- Identify and proactively resolve project challenges to minimize delays and cost impacts
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle
- Minimum 5–10+ years of Project Management experience within the construction industry
- Proven experience managing:
- Ground-up construction projects
- Interior renovation / fit-out projects
- Commercial, retail, mixed-use, hospitality, or corporate interiors projects
- Strong knowledge of NYC and Westchester construction processes and regulations
- Procore proficiency is required
- Experience with project scheduling, budgeting, buyouts, and subcontractor management
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project sequencing
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
