Construction Superintendent | Public / Institutional | NYC & NYS
A well-established general contractor is hiring a Construction Superintendent to run large public and institutional projects across New York City and New York State. Average project value is $30 to $50 million, with anchor projects north of $100 million.
This is a senior field role. You will own the site day to day: schedule, safety, quality, and the coordination of a large subcontractor base, from mobilization through closeout.
What you'll do- Run all on-site operations on a $30M+ project, or a major phase of a $100M+ program
- Build and hold the schedule, and keep every trade sequenced and accountable
- Act as the main field contact for the owner, agency reps, resident engineers, and inspectors
- Lead safety on site and keep a clean OSHA and DOB compliance record
- Manage phasing and logistics on occupied, operational facilities
- Direct assistant superintendents and field staff
- 10+ years in field supervision on commercial, institutional, or public projects
- Track record as lead Superintendent on projects of $30M or more, with exposure to $100M+ work
- Strong public sector experience with NYS and NYC agencies (DASNY, SCA, DDC, NYCHA, DCAS, OGS, MTA, Port Authority, or similar)
- Comfortable with prevailing wage, certified payroll, and agency inspection and sign-off processes
- OSHA 30 and a valid NYC DOB SST Supervisor card
- Strong scheduling (P6 or MS Project) and coordination of MEP and structural trades
