This is a full-time, on-site role for Carpenters, Lathers & Laborers located in White Plains, NY. Team members will assist with the construction of concrete foundations, including building and installing forms, placing reinforcement, and supporting deep foundation and excavation work. Daily tasks may include measuring and cutting materials, setting up and removing formwork, handling and organizing tools and equipment, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.
Carpenters and lathers will focus on layout, framing, formwork, and reinforcing installations, while laborers will support material handling, site preparation, and general construction activities. All personnel are expected to follow safety protocols, collaborate with supervisors and crew members, and adapt to changing site conditions and project needs.
- Experience in carpentry or lathing, including formwork, framing, and installation of reinforcement or related structural components.
- Background as a construction laborer or similar role, with skills in material handling, site cleanup, and assisting trades on active job sites.
- Ability to read basic construction drawings or instructions and use measuring tools, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong awareness of job site safety practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to OSHA or equivalent safety standards.
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks such as lifting, carrying, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Reliable work ethic, punctuality, and ability to work as part of a diverse crew under the direction of site supervisors and forepersons.
- Prior experience in excavation, concrete, or structural construction is beneficial; union membership or apprenticeship experience is an asset.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; willingness to participate in ongoing training and skills development.
