Arts Westchester’s Arts Mobile provides over 100 arts experiences per season throughout Westchester County for public art festivals, community sites, events, and parks. Professional artists accompany volunteers and an Artist Assistant/ Driverto conduct visual art workshops inside or outside, in close proximity to the vehicle.
We are seeking Artist Assistants/Drivers within Westchester County. You will be part of a team including an artist and volunteers for each Arts Mobile program. Most of Arts Mobile programming will be in operation from March through October 2026 – this is an exciting opportunity for those who enjoy the arts!
Responsibilities- Operate RAM Promaster 1500 Cargo vehicle safely from White Plains to a location within Westchester County.
- Assist artist in set up and clean up, including but not limited to, setting up of tables, chairs, signage & flyers, art supplies, sound system and canopy
- Assist participants with the workshop activity
- Count attendance with a tally counter.
- Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle
- Access to a smartphone & ability to navigate using GPS app Truck Map (training provided)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if required
- Valid NYS driver’s license for at least 3 years (Commercial license NOT required)
- At least 21 years of age
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Be subject to a criminal background, fingerprinting, drug/alcohol test, motor vehicle report check
- This role may require you at times to be on your feet in seasonal weather for extended periods with brief breaks as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
- Commercial driving experience is a plus
- $23/hr
- 5-6 hours per day (minimum 5 hours)
- Part-time position. Hours and days vary week to week. Schedule of events will be provided with ample notice
- Weekday and/or Weekend shifts available
