Project Architect

Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Project Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural design and project management, with a passion for delivering high-quality projects. This role involves collaborating with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure the successful execution of architectural projects from conception through completion. The Project Architect will be responsible for overseeing design development, project scheduling, and construction documentation while utilizing various software tools to enhance productivity and creativity.

Proficiency in Auto-Cad is required, and Sketch Up is useful. The job entails residential, light commercial and some health care experience.

• Lead the architectural design process to meet client needs and project goals.
• Develop detailed construction documents using Auto Cad and other software.
• Manage project schedules and budgets while coordinating with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop construction documents with a solid understanding of wall sections, structural systems, code restrictions and municipal guidelines.
• Collaborate with interior designers to integrate aesthetic elements into architectural designs.
• Employ advanced modeling techniques using Sketch Up.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning laws, and other regulatory requirements throughout the project.
• Provide mentorship to junior architects and interns in drafting techniques and design principles.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Professional licensure as an architect is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in architectural design software including AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong understanding of construction management principles including contracts, renovation processes, budgeting, and construction estimating.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively within tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated experience in project scheduling and negotiation skills is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with interior design concepts is a plus.
• Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
