The multisensory curriculum is designed for students of average to superior intelligence who can benefit from the unique educational experience provided. Through direct instruction in small class settings, a trained staff assists students to improve their language skills. Objective

The Activities Coordinator for the Westchester Lower School position is a .6 Coordinator.

  • Coordinators are typically outgoing individuals who promote and mentor student leaders. They must be comfortable working with students from a variety of social and economic backgrounds. They may also be required to work evenings or weekends in order to attend extracurricular student events.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, schedule, and supervise student arrivals and dismissals, including but not limited to:
    • Early arrivals and serving as backup, which requires a 7:30am start time.
    • Creating and maintaining student arrival and dismissal supervision schedules and providing necessary coverage in the event of absences
    • Communicating expectations/responsibilities as well as overseeing and monitoring performance of arrival and dismissal crews.
    • Assisting with Alternate or emergency arrival and dismissal plans. Coordinate, schedule, and supervise lunch and recess, including but not limited to:
    • Creating and maintaining indoor and outdoor recess schedules for students and recess crew.
Organize
  • Ensure program activities work within the protocols of the organization.
  • Ensure program activities follow all relevant professional standards.
  • Develop forms and records to document program activities.
  • Oversee the collection and maintenance of records on youth of the programs for statistical purposes according to the confidentiality/privacy policy of the organization.
Lead
  • Ensure all staff members receive orientation and proper program training following organizational standards.
  • Supervise program staff by supplying oversight, input, and feedback.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to gain community support for programs and to ask for input to program improvement.
  • Coordinate the delivery of services among different program activities to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Ensure programmatic excellence through development and implementation of innovative performance and outcome measures.
Oversee
  • Draft reports on the program for management and for funders.
  • Communicate with funders as outlined in funding agreements.
  • Ensure program reports and supporting documentation for funders are prepared as outlined in funding agreements.
  • Find and evaluate the risks associated with program activities and take proper action to control the risks.
  • Monitor the program activities on a regular basis and conduct an annual evaluation according to the program evaluation framework.
  • Report evaluation findings and recommend changes to enhance the program.
  • Work with Campus Head, Assistant Campus Head and Director of Athletics as needed to fulfill responsibilities.
  • Additional responsibilities assigned by the Campus Head.
