Crane Inspection Supervisor
Location:
White Plains, NY
Duration: 12 months (Possible Extension)
Job Functions & Responsibilities
• Oversee and manage contractors conducting inspections of cranes and lifting equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
• Develop and implement inspection schedules, protocols, and checklists for contractors to follow.
• Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of inspection reports submitted by contractors.
• Identify, document, and report any defects or issues with cranes based on contractor reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure all inspection records are accurately maintained and up-to-date.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams and contractors to address any identified issues and oversee the repair and maintenance process.
• Stay informed about industry regulations, safety standards, and technological advancements related to cranes and lifting equipment.
• Provide guidance and support to contractors to ensure they are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and adherence to safety protocols.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential hazards associated with crane operations.
• Participate in internal and external audits and inspections as required.
Skills
• Experience in crane inspection, maintenance, or a related role.
• Certification from a recognized authority (e.g., NCCCO, CICB) is highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of crane operations, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in using inspection tools and software.
• Ability to travel to various job sites as required.
Education & Certifications
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
