MEP Project Manager

Hudson Meridian Construction Group (HM), a leading New York‑area construction management firm, is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to oversee the sophisticated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems that define our most complex construction projects.

This role is designed for a construction professional who is also a technical expert, excelling at the intersection of pre‑construction strategy, field execution, and stakeholder alignment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the technical core of our builds meets the highest standards of efficiency, safety, and innovation.

Core Responsibilities
  • Technical Stewardship: Lead the end‑to‑end management of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MEP/FP) systems, ensuring seamless integration with structural and architectural designs.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive the coordination process to mitigate risks and resolve spatial conflicts well ahead of installation.
  • Financial & Contractual Oversight: Manage high‑value MEP subcontracts, including detailed scope analysis, budget forecasting, and change management.
  • Commissioning & Quality: Oversee the rigorous testing and commissioning phases to ensure all systems perform to design intent and regulatory requirements.
Professional Qualifications
  • Extensive

    Experience:

A minimum of 8–10 years in MEP project management, with a proven portfolio in large‑scale commercial, institutional, or healthcare sectors.
  • Academic Foundation: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strategic Mindset: Exceptional ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and communicate complex technical challenges to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Industry Proficiency: Expert‑level understanding of local building codes, LEED standards, and modern construction technologies.
Additional Requirements

Willingness to travel to and across construction sites. Candidates must be proficient with computers, familiar with Microsoft Office and CMiC, and able to interpret architectural plans and specifications. Responsibilities include scheduling, purchasing, estimating, and managing personnel, vendors, and subcontractors. The position is available immediately.
