We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our air compliance programs. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing air emission programs, preparing facility-wide emission inventories, performing air emissions calculations, and overseeing regulatory compliance for Title V Operating Permits, Air State Facility (ASF) Permits, and Air Facility Registrations (AFR). We are seeking an experienced professional with deep knowledge of New York City building-energy regulations—specifically Local Law 97 (building emissions limits), Local Law 84 (annual energy & water benchmarking), Local Law 87 (energy audits & retro-Commissioning), and Local Law 88 (lighting upgrades & electrical sub-Metering).
The ideal candidate will support compliance strategy, reporting, project planning, and implementation for our compliance portfolio.
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s air emissions compliance programs.
- Oversee internal compliance systems ensuring alignment with federal and state Clean Air Act requirements, including applicable emission limits and reporting obligations.
- Provide technical guidance on emission sources, control strategies, and regulatory applicability.
- Perform detailed emissions calculations using EPA emission factors and source-specific data (e.g., AP-42 emission factors).
- Develop, maintain, and submit facility-wide emission inventories for all regulated pollutants, including criteria pollutants, hazardous air pollutants (HAPs), and greenhouse gases (GHGs).
- Ensure inventory accuracy by collecting activity data, reviewing monitoring records, and applying correct emissions estimation methodologies.
- Compile and manage emission data from all emission units and processes, including combustion, process operations, storage, and fugitive sources.
- Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure accurate tracking and documentation of operational changes impacting emissions.
