Summary:East River Medical Imaging is committed to offering outstanding diagnostic imaging services with empathy and comfort for every patient. All our physicians are certified by the American Board of Radiology and specialize in various medical imaging fields, including cross-sectional, musculoskeletal, oncologic, and neuroradiology. We are looking for a full-time Front Desk Associate to join our team. As the first point of contact for patients at our locations, it is essential to be welcoming, approachable, and supportive.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing the flow of people entering the clinic, managing high patient volumes, providing information, and guiding visitors appropriately.

Duties:- Establish strong relationships with patients from diverse backgrounds through effective communication and empathy.
- Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude at all times.
- Demonstrate multitasking skills while remaining composed.
- Process payments and insurance estimates.
- Update patient information both in the system and on file.
- Ensure insurance authorizations are secured.
- Confirm that patients are cleared for all exams, such as CT, MRI, PET/CT scans, X-rays, sonograms, and mammography.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/
Experience:
- High school diploma and two years of college experience, or two years in healthcare, or equivalent education and experience.
- Familiarity with basic insurance and medical terminology.
- Awareness of HIPAA laws and compliance regulations.
- Strong project and time management abilities.
- Capacity to work independently while maintaining good communication and coordination with colleagues.
- Keen attention to detail and strong work ethic.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and organisational skills.
- Professional interaction with patients, physicians, and staff, alongside language skills mentioned under competencies.
Skills:
- Experience with Outlook, Teams, Office, EMR, PACS;
Royal Solutions is a plus.
- This position does not have direct supervisory duties.
