Overview
LHH is partnering with a global, high‑growth consumer packaged goods company to recruit a Controller, North America
. This is a critical leadership role during a period of transformation, integration, and scale.
The business operates across multiple legal entities and ERP platforms and is focused on harmonizing processes, strengthening controls, and building a best‑in‑class finance organization.
Reporting directly to the Regional CFO
, this role is a key member of the Americas Finance Leadership Team and offers a clear path to CFO within 3–5 years for a high‑potential finance leader.
The Controller will own accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, compliance, and cash management
, while leading and developing a high‑performing team. This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring strong judgment, operational rigor, and the ability to drive change in a fast‑paced environment.
Financial Operations & Reporting
- Lead all accounting functions including GL, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and tax
- Deliver timely, accurate month‑end close, consolidation, and reporting
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and U.S. GAAP (by entity)
- Oversee dual ERP environments and drive system and process harmonization
- Improve efficiency and transparency through automation and process redesign
Controls, Compliance & Audit
- Maintain a strong internal control and governance framework
- Lead internal and external audits with clean, timely outcomes
- Proactively assess financial risk and implement corrective actions
- Ensure regulatory and statutory compliance
Cash & Working Capital
- Oversee cash management with a focus on working capital improvement
- Strengthen AP discipline and operational effectiveness
Strategic Partnership & Leadership
- Partner with the CFO and cross‑functional leaders on strategic initiatives
- Provide actionable financial insights to support decision‑making
- Lead, develop, and retain a highly engaged finance team
- Build succession plans and elevate finance capability across the organization
- Senior finance leadership experience in CPG / food / consumer products
- Background spanning controllership and commercial finance
- CPA required with deep expertise in IFRS and financial reporting
- Proven success driving transformation, automation, and process improvement
- Excellent communication, influence, and people leadership skills
