The purpose of the Senior Budget and Forecasting Associate is to manage the budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the Distributed Clean Energy (DCE) organization. The role includes preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, monthly reconciliation of the DCE P&L relative to forecast, and coordination of monthly development pipeline and financial performance reports. The position also prepares corporate financial risk reports and interfaces with Controlling, Accounting, and Risk Management.
Responsibilities- Prepare a monthly performance metrics report
- Analyze actual results against the monthly budget forecast
- Prepare annual and quarterly budgets and financial forecasts
- Collaborate with DCE senior staff, Accounting and Controlling to ensure accurate booking and reporting of expense and revenue line items on company financial statements
- Prepare risk reports for RWECE, including Quarterly Risk Report, Contra G Report, and Performance Guarantee Report
- Participate in the development of the DCE annual budget and quarterly forecast updates throughout the year
- Liaison between the DCE group and Controlling and Accounting organizations
- Minimum 3 years of experience in forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage internal and external customer relationships
- Demonstrated interest in distributed clean energy and associated markets
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
- Experience with SAP accounting software or other financial software is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
- Ability to multitask while working independently and as part of a team
- Motivated self‑starter, goal‑oriented, and strong problem‑solving abilities
- Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
- Responsive to direction and coachable
- Detail‑oriented with strong business acumen and sound understanding of business concepts
- Office‑based role with occasional travel to other RWECE offices

Pay RangeThe annual base salary range for this position in New York is $67,000 - $92,000
. This range is a general guideline and may vary based on scope of responsibilities, experience, and market conditions.
