Responsibilities- Collect, validate, and maintain complex financial and operational data to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of results.
- Organize and structure large datasets to enable analysis and accessibility for financial and actuarial reporting.
- Perform quantitative analyses, including present and future value calculations, assessment of premiums, reserves, liabilities, profits, and cash flows across insurance products.
- Prepare studies of financial experience and apply actuarial and financial modeling techniques to evaluate financial performance and prepare analyses for senior management.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain reporting and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, SQL, Excel) to support financial and actuarial modeling processes.
- Design and validate templates and automated tools to ensure accuracy of key performance metrics.
- Analyze and interpret financial results, identify risks, and validate underlying assumptions in support of strategic and regulatory decision‑making.
- Perform actuarial research and statistical analyses.
- Execute special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related field (foreign education equivalent accepted).
- At least two years of experience as an Actuarial Associate, Actuarial Associate – Financial Planning and Analysis, or a related occupation driving product implementation, enhancing valuation systems, validating reserves, and streamlining reporting and assumption analyses.
- Passed at least four actuarial exams and actively pursuing ASA and FSA status.
- Experience building, maintaining, and interpreting financial templates and visualizations—including income statements and balance sheets—primarily using Excel.
- Proficiency working with large and complex data sets to generate actuarial insights, performing regular data validation, reconciliation, and updates to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to develop and maintain financial and actuarial models incorporating actuarial assumptions such as mortality, lapse, interest, sales, and Value of New Business (VNB).
- Skill evaluating financial and actuarial results to assess risk, profitability, and business implications.
- Capable of reporting actuarial insights effectively through reports, presentations, and professional documentation, emphasizing clarity, risk analysis, and business impact.
