Location: City of White Plains
An insurance company is looking for a Sr. Development Manager w/ AWS Cloud Experience to join their team in White Plains, NY.
Compensation: $175-190K
US Citizen/GC Holder Only
Candidates must be local to White Plains, NY;
This group works 3 days onsite
- Lead and manage technical projects from conception through completion, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable and reliable solutions using AWS services.
- Utilize AI and machine learning technologies to enhance product offerings and drive innovation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Dev Ops, PMO, and operations, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and manage project changes to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in cloud computing, AI, and related technologies, and apply this knowledge to drive continuous improvement.
- Communicate project status, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Drives automation initiatives to streamline operational workflows, leveraging modern tooling, and Dev Ops practices to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborates with security teams to implement cloud infrastructure security measures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
- A Bachelor's degree in information systems, technology, or related computer science.
- Experience of 10+ years in a similar leadership role, managing development, operations, and project management.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Amazon Connect, Textract, API Gateway, Data Lake etc) and Azure (AD/SSO).
- Experience with integrations between systems, including REST and SOAP APIs.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex systems to identify areas for improvement.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong Database knowledge and hands-on experience with databases like Oracle, SQL Server.
- Strong understanding of HTTP Servers, Apache, Tomcat and Web Logic environments and ability to administer.
- Experience working document template creation and scripting.
- Experience with document management systems such as Hyland Onbase Imaging, Open Text's Teleform and Aperta a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer, or PMP are a plus.
