Systems Administrator

Summary

We are looking for a Logic Monitor and Observability Administrator with strong technical expertise in monitoring and observability across hybrid and cloud environments. This role involves administering Logic Monitor, implementing observability best practices, and working closely with infrastructure and application owners to ensure proper performance and availability monitoring. The ideal candidate will technical proficiency with the ability to gather requirements, make recommendations, and assist teams in optimizing their monitoring configurations.

This role requires comprehensive expertise in Logic Monitor and observability practices.

Key responsibilities include:

• Administer and optimize Logic Monitor platform, including collectors, dashboards, alerting policies, and reporting.
• Configure monitoring for servers, network devices, cloud resources, and applications using Logic Monitor data sources and custom integrations.
• Work with discipline owners (infrastructure, application, network, security) evaluate monitoring coverage and confirm performance and availability metrics are properly tracked.
• Assist teams in making necessary configuration changes to improve monitoring accuracy and effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain alert thresholds, escalation chains, and notification policies to ensure timely response to issues.
• Automate monitoring tasks and alerting workflows using scripting languages (Power Shell, Groovy, Bash) and Logic Monitor APIs.
• Experience configuring and managing 3rd party integrations and vendor monitoring modules (Service Now Service Graph Connector, VMware, Dell, etc.).
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports tailored to business and technical stakeholders for visibility into system health and trends.
• Analyze monitoring data, identify trends, and recommend improvements for reliability and performance.
• Track all ongoing efforts in Service Now and provide regular status reports to the internal monitoring team.
