JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title:
Business Analyst
Location: White Plains, NY or Marcy, NY
Duration: 6 Months
Pay Rate: $50/hr W2
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 7.5-hour workday with 0.5-hour unpaid lunch
- Paid for actual hours worked
- No paid vacation or sick days
- Position may be based in:
- White Plains, NY (NYC Metro area)
- Marcy, NY (Upstate New York)
This role supports Business Analysis activities for the Data Warehouse Replatform Project, part of the Common App Program. The Business Analyst will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to support data integration, application analysis, and requirements documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Review existing applications and code base to understand functionality and processes
- Perform data profiling, data quality checks, querying, cleanup, and data mapping
- Develop interface requirements and technical specifications
- Create test scenarios, test plans, and test scripts
- Define, document, and manage detailed functional and technical requirements
- Storyboards
- Wireframes
- Use cases
- Gather, analyze, and document business processes
- Facilitate meetings and document outcomes
- Engage stakeholders across all organizational levels
- Develop application support plans, RACI matrices, and support handover documentation
- Support Agile and Dev Ops-based delivery frameworks
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in software implementations or deployments
- 5 10 years of relevant IT Business Analysis experience
- Strong programming knowledge (Java, C++/C)
- Oracle database experience
- Advanced Excel skills (including macros)
- Extensive experience in:
- Data profiling and analysis
- Data querying and cleanup
- Data integration projects
- Developing detailed functional and technical requirements
- Strong understanding of technical concepts and terminology
- Experience gathering and documenting data requirements
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Dev Ops experience (Azure Dev Ops preferred)
- Familiarity with automated testing tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills across technical and business teams
- Ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative environments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5 10 years of Business Analysis experience in IT projects (cloud computing and data integration preferred)
- Programming experience required

- IIBA Agile Analysis Certification (AAC)

- IREB CPRE
- PMI-PBA
