Director of Information Technology

Seeking an experienced IT leader to oversee a dynamic technology environment within a growing organization. This leadership role emphasizes strategic management and team mentorship in a fast-paced, retail-support environment, ensuring operational excellence across cloud and virtualization platforms.

This position provides senior-level management of IT systems, focusing on guiding and developing a team of system administrators and engineers. Responsible for overseeing the overall IT environment, ensuring reliable infrastructure operations, and aligning technology initiatives with organizational goals.

• Manage and mentor a team of approximately 10 system administrators and engineers, fostering professional development and high performance
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of virtualization platforms, including Microsoft Hyper‑V and Microsoft Azure cloud services
• Ensure secure and reliable network connectivity through VPN and VDI technologies, supporting thin clients and terminal services
• Prioritize IT projects, coordinate resource allocation, and ensure timely delivery of IT solutions
• Support and optimize IT infrastructure to support retail operations, maintaining system availability and performance
• Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and security best practices
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to evaluate and implement new technologies and upgrades
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as needed

• Proven leadership experience managing IT teams in a systems administration or infrastructure environment
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Hyper‑V hypervisors, Microsoft Azure cloud platforms, VPN solutions, and VDI technologies
• Experience supporting retail operations environments and enterprise‑scale IT environments
• Excellent communication, mentorship, and team management skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and oversee ongoing IT operations

• Hands‑on experience with thin client management and terminal services environments
• Familiarity with retail‑specific IT challenges and solutions
• Previous experience in a primarily supervisory or strategic leadership role over technical teams

• Microsoft Hyper‑V virtualization, Microsoft Azure cloud services, VPN configuration and management, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Terminal Services, Thin Client technology
• Network security, system monitoring, disaster recovery planning, and IT policy development
