Network Analyst​/Network Administrator; CCNP​/AWS​/SolarWinds​/Splunk

Position: Network Analyst / Network Administrator (CCNP / AWS / SolarWinds / Splunk)
Our client - a major utility firm based out of Westchester County, NY - has an immediate need for a Network Analyst / Network Administrator. The particulars of the position are as follows. Job Functions & Responsibilities:
• Installation:
Install new hardware or software systems or components, ensuring integration with existing network systems. Install or repair network cables, including fiber optic cables. Install network software, including security or firewall software. Install and configure wireless networking equipment.
• Problem Resolution:
Work with vendors to diagnose and resolve network problems. Operate and configure protocol analyzers to diagnose issues, analyze captured data using network protocols, and use network monitoring software to detect conditions requiring corrective action or performance tuning.

Collaboration:

Assist with the integration, maintenance, and problem resolution of network services and wiring infrastructures by working with other networking and telecommunications staff, user support entities, vendors, and end-users, including contractors and guests.
• Record Keeping:
Ensure accurate records are kept of network components, maintenance activities, network connections, accounts, and inventory.
• Programming:
Program network applications as needed, such as web, network monitoring, bandwidth utilization, general data collection, reporting, and automated response to abnormal or undesirable network conditions.
• General Duties:
Contribute to the overall success of Information Services by performing all other essential duties as assigned.
