We are seeking a skilled Alarm & Network Systems Technician to handle the technical implementation, networking, and security configuration for our alarm systems. In this role, you will bridge the gap between physical security panels and IT infrastructure, ensuring robust, high-reliability signal transmission across enterprise networks.
Key Responsibilities- DMP Panel Integration: Program, commission, and troubleshoot Digital Monitoring Products (DMP) panels (XR/XLS series) and integrated cellular/IP communication modules.
- Firewall & Traffic Management: Configure hardware firewalls (e.g., Sonic Wall, Fortinet, Cisco) to secure alarm communication paths, managing NAT, VPN tunnels, and access control rules.
- Network Operations: Provision and support TCP/IP networks, subnets, VLANs, routers, and switches dedicated to physical security hardware.
- Signal Verification: Ensure seamless, redundant signal delivery between customer endpoints, cloud management platforms, and central station receivers.
- Client & Enterprise IT Support: Partner with corporate IT departments to resolve network blockages, port issues, and cybersecurity requirements for alarm deployments.
- DMP Expertise: 2+ years of hands-on experience programming and servicing DMP control panels and software.
- Network & Firewall
Skills:
Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, port forwarding, static IP assignment, DNS, and perimeter firewall policies. - Diagnostics: Proven ability to isolate signal drops, network conflicts, and hardware failures quickly.
- CompTIA Network+, Security+, or CCNA certification.
- Working knowledge of low-voltage wiring and relevant NFPA/UL standards for security signal transmission.
