AboutYou
You have 2 to 5 years of relevant experience and are comfortable handling pleadings, motions, discovery, and courtroom appearances. You are an out of the box strategic thinker who takes ownership over your cases and wants to assist with growing our firm.
You think critically, prepare thoroughly, and manage deadlines and client matters with consistency. You work collaboratively, and maintain clear, professional communication. You are reliable, practical in your approach, and focused on achieving solid results for the clients you serve.
Responsibilities- Manage an active caseload across Personal Injury, Estate and Trust Litigation, Guardianship matters, and general litigation
- Work collaboratively with other attorneys, paralegals and staff members
- Work closely with clients throughout their matter
- Prepare and file pleadings, briefs, petitions, discovery demands, and responses
- Attend client meetings, hearings, court conferences and depositions
- Draft correspondence, legal memoranda, motions, and discovery documents
- Conduct legal research and develop solutions-oriented strategies
- Maintain client communication and ensure deadlines and procedural requirements are metBe ready to assist with the growth and expansion of the firm
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience
- New York Bar license in good standing, with Connecticut admission preferred or a willingness to obtain Connecticut licensure
- Strong writing, analytical, and research skills
- Ability to manage cases independently while contributing to a collaborative team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard legal technology
- Professional communication with clients, courts, and colleagues
- Highly competitive compensation that starts at $125,000, with final compensation structure based on experience and the value you bring to the firm
