About the Role

A well‑established boutique real estate law firm in White Plains is seeking a Real Estate Associate to join its commercial real estate practice. The firm represents a range of sophisticated commercial clients, including developers, investors, landlords, tenants, property owners, financial institutions, and retail companies. The work focuses on high‑value, complex real estate transactions across multiple asset classes.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience handling commercial acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, and general real estate transactional work with limited supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent commercial clients in a broad range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions and sales of high‑value commercial properties.
  • Negotiate and draft commercial leases, including retail, office, and industrial leasing.
  • Handle financing and refinancing matters, including reviewing and negotiating loan documents.
  • Support joint venture, development, and related agreements.
  • Conduct due diligence, including title and survey review, and coordinate with third‑party vendors and counter parties.
  • Manage transactions from initial intake through closing.
  • Work directly with partners and clients in a collaborative environment.
Qualifications
  • J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the New York Bar.
  • Approximately 3–10+ years of experience in commercial real estate transactions.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with retail leasing and high‑value commercial deals is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and a client‑focused mindset.
