Job DetailsIn office Monday through Friday 7:45 am to 4:15 p.m.
Hourly Rate:
Ranges from $23 to $35 per hour, commensurate with experience
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and CAD models to determine the best machining methods.
- Operating manual and automated machines (lathes, mills, drill presses, and grinders).
- Aligning and securing work pieces in the machine, and zeroing out the tools to ensure pinpoint accuracy.
- Monitor the feed and speed of machines.
- compute and verify dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of work pieces.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment, minimizing machine downtime and increasing overall production efficiency.
- Collaborate with prototypes to resolve fabrication issues and suggest design or process improvements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Good communication and strong interpersonal skills required (team player).
- Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations and interpret measurement data.
- Mechanical aptitude, hands- on understanding of how machinery operates.
- Blueprint ability to interpret technical drawings and GD&T (Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) symbols.
- Knowledge of CNC programming and/or operation a plus
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience.
- A formal 4-year apprenticeship programs are welcome.
