Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Location: White Plains, NY

Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 34.5 per week

Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a fast-paced acute care setting. This unit manages high-risk obstetrics, C-sections, and triage. Travelers must be confident working independently and comfortable with a high-acuity L&D environment.

Unit Details:

• Beds: 14 total

  • 5 triage/inpatient beds

  • 6 labor beds

  • 2 OR beds

• Ratios follow AWHONN guidelines

• OR cases:
  Nurses expected to scrub for C-sections

• Floating:
  Tasking in OB or Nursery (no patient assignments when floating)

• No holiday requirements for travelers

Schedule Requirements:

• Every 3rd weekend (3 weekend shifts in a 4-week period)

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience

• BSN required

• Certifications:
  
  BLS (AHA), ACLS, NRP, RN-C

• High-risk OB experience required

• Strong labor assessment skills

• Must perform cervical exams and full patient assessments

• Cannot place IUPC

Preferred:

• NCC RNC-OB (Preferred but not required)

• Epic experience

Technology/Systems:

• EMR:
  Meditech and GE

• Must document across two systems

Additional Notes:

• Charge nurses typically do not take patients

• Highly customer service focused unit

• Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment

• No IV team; full patient care responsibilities

• In-house coverage available 3 nights per week
