Registered Nurse

Position Summary
The Float Registered Nurse (RN) provides and coordinates the care of patients/families and significant others in multiple ambulatory care setting by assessing, planning and intervening in actual or potential health problems, including evaluation of the patient's response to the care. These responsibilities also include patient/family/significant other education and health maintenance strategies. The Float RN is a member of a designated health care team and collaborates, coordinates and guides team members in planning patient care and achieving goals.
The Float Registered Nurse demonstrates knowledge of the principles of human growth and development over the life span and the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age, specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described by standards and policy and procedures.
